Premiere
| commissioned by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and Anna Þorvaldsdóttir, and was premiered in Harpa Concert Hall in Reykjavík, Iceland on March 29th, 2019.

Asked to mirror Beethoven’s 7th symphony, it is inspired by the Allegretto, interpreted here as unrelenting steps forward and backward, mirroring the ephemeral nature of movement in time.

Featuring members of the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra as well as a “solo” performance by Frank Aarnink, percussionist, using tuned bell plates on the floor of the concert hall.
